16 year old Jose Molina, receives toys from the Suffolk County Correction Officers that loaded a truck full of toys for young patients at Stony Brook ChildrenÕs Hospital, along with Santa Claus, as part of a special Christmas in July celebration. The toy collection, which took place over the last two months, was spearheaded by Correction Officer Peter Lambert, who was impacted by the passing of a child, Ryan Zinna, who suffered from Medulloblastoma. The toy drive was conducted in RyanÕs honor after Officer Lambert learned from hospital officials that toy donations are often scarcer during the summer months. The group of officers will be accompanied by Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon, Jr., who is a two-time cancer survivor, and hospital staff. (7/13/18)
